A steaming cup of spiced winter tea surrounded by cinnamon sticks, star anise, and fresh orange slices, creating a cosy and warm seasonal vibe.

Warm up this holiday season with a delightful tea that’s not just healthy but also great for the festive season. Perfect for cozy evenings by the fire or sharing with loved ones, this tea is as comforting as it is nourishing.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 3-4 slices fresh ginger

  • 2 whole cloves

  • 1 star anise

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional)

  • 1 rooibos or chamomile tea bag (naturally sweet and caffeine-free)

  • Juice of 1/4 fresh orange (optional for citrusy notes)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (unsweetened, natural)

  • Fresh rosemary sprig (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

  2. Add the cinnamon stick, ginger slices, cloves, star anise, and turmeric powder (if using). Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes to infuse all the flavors.

  3. Remove the pot from the heat and steep the rooibos or chamomile tea bag in the spiced water for 3-4 minutes.

  4. Remove the tea bag and stir in the fresh orange juice and vanilla extract for a natural hint of sweetness.

  5. Pour the tea into mugs and garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig for an extra festive touch.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Immune-boosting: Cinnamon, ginger and turmeric work wonders for your health, especially during the colder months.

  • Calming: Rooibos or chamomile tea provides soothing properties to help you relax.

  • Naturally sweet: A touch of orange and vanilla brings subtle sweetness without the need for added sugar.

This Spiced Winter Glow Tea is the perfect combination of flavour, health and festive spirit.
