Menopause the Struggle is Real

It was wonderful talking to Girish Bali on his podcast Back2basics about all things Menopause.

Menopause is a stage in life when you stop having your monthly period. It is a totally normal part of aging and marks the end of your reproductive years. Menopause typically occurs in your late 40s to early 50s. However, people who have their ovaries surgically removed undergo "sudden" surgical menopause.

Changing levels of estrogen and progesterone, two female hormones made in the ovaries, may lead to symptoms like hot flashes, weight gain, anxiety, trouble sleeping and vaginal dryness. We all experience the menopause transition differently. It can be a very difficult time for some women. Have a listen to the podcast below to find out about the struggle some women can experience.
