 Ingredients:

 280 grams Pork Sausage (casings removed) or Vegetarian Sausage for the vegetarian version

1/2 cup Sauerkraut

1/3 cup Cottage Cheese

2 stalks Green Onion (additional for garnish)

2 tablespoons Fresh Dill (additional for garnish)

1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

4 cups Broccoli (sliced)

 Directions:

         1.      In a mixing bowl, blend together your choice of sausage (pork or vegetarian), sauerkraut, cottage cheese, chopped green onions, dill, and black pepper. Shape this mixture into uniform patties, aiming for two patties per portion.

        2.      Warm the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the patties in the pan and cook for 4-6 minutes on each side, ensuring they are thoroughly cooked.

        3.      While the patties are cooking, prepare the broccoli. Place the broccoli slices in a steamer above boiling water and cover. Steam for about 3-5 minutes or until they achieve a tender-crisp texture.

        4.      To serve, arrange the patties and steamed broccoli on plates. Garnish with additional green onions and dill for an extra burst of flavour. Enjoy this wholesome and satisfying meal!
