Refreshing Lemon Water (Sugar-Free Lemonade)

If you’re looking for a simple way to stay hydrated while supporting your body’s natural detoxification process, this refreshing lemon water is a must.  This sugar-free alternative to lemonade is a delicious, easy way to give your body a natural energy boost while staying hydrated and refreshed.

 Ingredients:

        •       1 large organic lemon (washed well)

        •       4 cups filtered water

        •       Ice cubes (optional)

        •       Fresh mint or basil leaves (optional, for garnish) 

Instructions:

  1. Slice the lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a large jug . You can use a lemon juicer to extract as much juice as possible.

  2. After juicing, feel free to add the lemon halves directly into the jug for extra flavour and zest.

  3.  Pour the 4 cups of filtered water over the lemon juice .

  4. Stir well and taste. If the flavour is too strong, simply add more water to adjust to your preference.

  5. If you prefer your drink chilled, add a few ice cubes or refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  6. For a refreshing twist, add a few fresh mint or basil leaves to the jug before serving.

 Optional: You can also add a pinch of sea salt or a splash of apple cider vinegar for an extra health boost.
