Protein-Packed Oatmeal with Berries and Seeds

Here’s a delightful and nutritious breakfast idea that I absolutely adore for its simplicity and high protein content. It’s perfect for those busy mornings when you need a quick yet substantial start to your day.  

Protein-Packed Oatmeal with Berries and Seeds

Ingredients:

         •       60 ml (¼ cup) dry oats

        •       240 ml (1 cup) cottage cheese

        •       60 ml (¼ cup) high-quality vanilla protein powder (optional)

        •       60 ml (¼ cup) frozen blueberries, or berries of your choice

        •       A handful of sunflower seeds

 Instructions:

  •  Start by cooking your oats as per the instructions on the package. This is your wholesome base, full of fibre and energy.

  • In a separate bowl, blend the cottage cheese with the protein powder (if you’re using it). This mix is wonderfully creamy and packed with protein, essential for maintaining muscle health and keeping you fuller for longer.

  • Once your oats are cooked, add them to the cottage cheese mixture. Give it a good stir to combine all the flavours.

  • Finally, sprinkle the frozen blueberries (or your chosen berries) on top. Not only do they add a lovely burst of sweetness, but they’re also rich in antioxidants.

  • Finish off with a generous handful of sunflower seeds for that delightful crunch and extra nutrition boost.

 This recipe is a fantastic way to kickstart your day with a balance of protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates. Plus, it’s incredibly versatile - feel free to get creative with your choice of berries or seeds!
